   I think you're forgetting that the present wars were initiated by a   
   former President (helped by a former prime minister). I'm sure that the   
   present president would be only too pleased to stop the wars today (he   
   seems 'that kind of fellow'), but it isn't really practical to do this.   
   Joan Baez probably understands the situation very well.
