Thanks!              Hi-people are telling you the wrong song-the song you are thinking of is       Bluenose by David Martin,composed and sug by a group called Ryan's Fancy       The other Bluenose song by Stan Rogers is completely different.       I am a music teach-I know the song you are thinking of--its in the musiccanada       book series.
