I remember the song from my childhood--here are the lyrics my mother taught:
Oh me, oh my there was the thinnest man
thin as the glue on a postage stamp or the skin of a soft shell clam
   oh me oh my
one day he lost his breath
he fell through the hole in the seat of his pants
and he choked himself to death.
