The American Airlines ad       "Mother Country" made me        cry almost every time I listened to it on her album. Her highs are so pure and       sweet, her bluesy vocals with the just enough down home midwest (Iowa) folk       never failed to move me. One life long highlight I will never forget was when       I saw her at the old "       Taste of Chicago" when it was on the old Navy Pier before it became the       tourist trap that it is today. I stood in in the front row and she asked for a       volunteer, I hesitated a second and then I was on stage next to her. I danced,       the crowd roared, she        said she should take me on tour with her. She had no idea what that meant to       that shy 20 something at the time. Wish I could get video of that moment.       Bonnie do you ever come to San Francisco, I left my beloved Chicago 15 years       ago. Miss looking up        Bonnie's next show in The Reader !              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
