   Here is something that makes sense:   
   I actually found a flower with eyes of bright blue. It is Heliotropium   
   arborescens, the Amaretto flower. One variant of it is pale with a blue center   
   (see e.g. https://plantdecors.com/product/buy-heliotropium-arborescens-india/)
