|    Help with early 80s song    |

From: neutron@NOSPAMistar.ca              I need help identifying a song, which I am almost certain is by a pop-rock band       of the early 80's. It is an upbeat song .. medium tempo, good simple guitar       riffs.       Don't know any of the words :(       The female singer has a slighter deeper voice. My list of potential candidates       so       far are:               - Parachute Club        - Martha and the Muffins        - Pretenders              The closest *voice* match I could fine (I think) is Lorraine Segatto       (Parachute Club),       but it is not the most popular hits (Rise Up or Feet of the Moon). I haven't       been       able (yet) to hear the other songs by Parachute Club (best of CD on order).       The tempo of the song is slighter slower than Echo Beach (Martha/Muffins), but       with       more emphasis on guitar rather than keyboard.              Any ideas what song I'm thinking of ?? I'd recognize it instantly. Have       previewed many       other 80's female-singer bands in musicpreviews at amazon.com and       puretracks.com but no joy!              Thanks,        - Mitch              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
