I don't want to be       bothered SELLING it, I'm perfectly willing to give it away       to anyone who will arrange pickup from Phoenix, Arizona and       pay the freight! It's in more-or-less "mint" condition, and       because of its age and the lavish glossy illustrations (many       of performance venues that did not survive two world wars),       I assume it's worth SOMETHING, but I don't care - I just       want to get RID of it. (But hopefully to someone who       considers it more valuable than scrap-paper - I can haul it       off to the Goodwill myself, but I hoped to provide it with a       worthier fate.)               _______________________________________________              Here is my original post from a couple of months ago (which       was omitted from the post to which you replied):              "I have a complete ten volume set of the 1908 edition of       'The American History and Encyclopedia of Music', inherited       from my musician grandfather. The set is in mint condition       (I think some of the pages are still uncut) with a wealth of       illustrations, engravings and photographs.              "Obviously there are many more up-to-date books on music,       but I thought this might be of interest to collectors       (especially given the condition it's in). Does anyone know       what it might be worth? Or should I just give it to the       Goodwill and forget about it? (I hate to do that, since my       grandfather rather prized it, but if it's worthless...)"              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
