When we left on the 3rd, you could cross west of Denver on I-70       still. Wet and light snow, but allowed. You could not take I-80 with       anything under 20,000 lbs. because of blow over laws and high winds. We       got 620 miles to Kearney and it was cold, 28F, and pretty windy. Got up       and I-70 was closed to us because of traction laws and needing chains to       go west of Denver, but I-80 was open with the winds settling down. Went       680 miles and got to Evanston Wyoming. Went down to 20F that night but       at least we made it over the rough stuff. Ride down to Cannonville, UT       was pleasant.              The water heater anti-freeze kit worked perfectly and was well worth it.        Everything else working just fine. The house batteries easily run the       furnace, water heater, lights, and the refrigerator overnight. Having       an amazing time with above average temps and so much to see.              We will be taking I-70 back on the return this Wednesday unless it snows       and gets slick.              Cutting this short for now. Much to do today!              Regards,              sticks              --- SoupGate-DOS v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
