|    Rabies vs. vaccinated dog.    |

From: user@nospam.com              Hi All,              My bitch was vaccinated last year against rabies shots and the shot is good       for 3 years.              Today, we noticed that she had some fresh scratches on her hind right leg.       No idea where she got it from, we keep her in sight (except for the little       while she jumps over the fence unnoticed and goes in to the woods for a       romp) I am a little worried that she may have been in a fight with some       other dog or maybe has been scratched by e.g. a rabbit.              My questions are:              Is a vaccinated dog susceptible to rabies?              She licks us often, on our faces and lips too. Are we susceptible to rabies?              What immediate steps should I take?              Thanks.              PS: I intend to take her to the vet tomorrow, but some immediate help would       be great.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
