From: @home.com              We have a 7 year old Springer, Sherman, and our neighbor has a 1 year old       Beagle, Snoopy. They get along beautifully, but when playing Snoopy likes       to pull Sherman's ears, hurting him.              The neighbors and I have tried to get him to stop, but haven't been       successful. Not wanting to punish Snoopy, it is hard to save my Sherman's       ears.              Next month my wife & I are going on a 3-week cruise, and will take our dog       to a professional pet sitter. He loves it there, as all of the dogs are       allowed to run free in the huge fenced area behind their home. The BAD NEWS       is that our neighbors are also leaving for about a month at about the same       time, and would you believe that they will be using the same sitter.              I'm afraid that during their long stay together Sherman's ears might get       injured during their play. I will make the sitter aware of the problem, but       we know she cannot watch them all of the time.              I would like to ask the members of this group if there is anything that can       be done to prevent Snoopy from pulling Sherman's ears. Possibly some       medication or perfume that would act as a repellant to other dogs, without       harming Sherman.              Any suggestions would be very welcome,              Ron & Jan - Independence, Oregon       roncarr@qwest.net              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
