I don't think it is; there would probably be different abusage patterns
for different animal and owner types.

The notion that puppies in the same litter shouldn't be homed together
may be valid for dogs but works fine and is even recommended by/for
cats/cat owners; reason being you don't want the cat in your face 24/7
and any "loss of respect" is unnoticeable given the general nature of
cats. Dog owners generally want their dogs to "do that"; cat owners
generally want their cats to "stop doing that".

Regarding the snippet you continually post regarding me, I would like
to add to the first paragraph "if you're so inclined, miaowing like a
cat in extreme distress may cause the cat to let go". Apart from that
the post works (though I'll grant just barely) within the context of the
original thread and with the snipped part included.

Note that when I say "that I think is a good reason" I'm trying to
   determine if the cat's sane.

The second paragraph is an effective way to *avoid* being attacked by
   making a preemptive pretend-strike to put the cat in defensive mode;
I'm pretty sure I don't imply following through by actually attempting
to injure the cat and of course you have to let the cat win the play
fight that you started. (I should also confess to a brain-typo; by
"noogie" I mean rub the *palm* of your hand back and forth over the
cat's head which annoys the hell out of them)

I don't see any alternative to that. Do you ?

(written in a manner that I can read; I wouldn't expect anybody to read
posts where I refer to myself in the third person and I extend that
   courtesy to others).

I don't imagine that's particularly valid in a dog group; if a pitbull
latches onto your arm with intent you have more immediate problems than
pet training. (Likewise if a cat somehow gets set to "autoshred")

PS: my definition of "troll" includes people that make their posts
   difficult to read on purpose.
