   Then go to your local library.  Take out at least two books on canine   
   genetics, and two on breeding and whelping.  Read them. Then do some   
   research on shelter statistics, why animals are given up, what factors   
   increase the risks, and which factors reduce the risks.   
      
   You really need to talk to people who have ended up with dogs who have   
   been crippled or died because the breeder didn't know what they didn't
