   Too true,..my boo boo. The only close encounters I've had with   
   snakes,..usually "yellow bellies" and Black snakes, around our remote huts   
   with work,..was to see the back half of one disappearing around the corner   
   of the building,..which suited me fine (and the snake I suspect). We always   
   opened floor covers over cable-ways with a long stick, as Browns and Blacks   
   love to sleep in them during the extremely hot summers out west. Usually   
   you'd just hear a noise as it exited the building thru the cable pit outside   
   which usually had access holes to the paddock.
