   What do you do with a dog with a broken spirit?   
   This poor 1-2yo lab mix whatever was recieved into our loving quiet home and   
   just stays in a corner.  She likes to go outside, but seems to be fidgity~   
   or should I say re-fridgity (cold) and distant.   
   She is not interested in us at all, though we present food and toys and   
   encouragment.   We have shown her nothing but love, and we want her to love   
   us.   
   I guess this is like loving someone who will not love you back , but I feel   
   such compassion for her.  She must have been treated terribly.  If you don't   
   pay any attention to her, she will come closer, but not within reach. Any   
   motion to pet or caress her and she lowers her head (does not pee though).   
   Does anybody know how long is this will go on?
