From: jo-wolf@webtv.net              The really best place to bring this up is on the Behavior group. More       knowledgeable folks post there (along with some beginners).... But       since I'm here and you asked the question....              At 10 months, you can definitely switch to 2 feeds a day..... AM and       evening. It's quite probable that it's that noon feed that's keeping       her from developing a more predictable schedule.              It is quite possible to teach your young rascal to alert you to potty       needs by ringing a bell or cluster of bells. You hang them on or beside       the door (put a protective metal or plastic plate behind them if she       uses her foot to ring them). I recommend hanging them at NOSE height.       Assist her to ring the bells with her nose before you take or send her       out..... every time, until she starts reliably doing it herself. The       downside of this is that she is liable to start ringing the bell every       time she decides she wants to go out to chase a bird, or play, as well       as when she needs to "go". It helps to stay out (yeh, it's winter here,       too) to watch to be certain that she takes care of nature's call before       coming back inside.              Jo Wolf       Martinez, Georgia              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
