   I'm actually more interested in the race of the deputies.  Since he was police   
   commissioner in Detroit it goes without saying that he was black.  I like to   
   know the race of all crimes out of curiosity and to shape my perceptions.    
   Perceptions is a hobby    
   of mine.  Racism is something other than wanting to know or identifying race   
   IMHO.
