   Depends on what you mean by "new conference." It could just be that, say, the   
   Big 12 or Pac-whatever-it-is-this-week just accepts new teams and comes up   
   with a more appropriate name accordingly.   
      
   I suppose a full-on Big 12/Pac-12 merger could be a "new conference" if   
   neither existing conference would really be in control of it, but I don't see   
   that happening.
