   Meanwhile, Davis, Irvine, Merced, Riverside, Santa Barbara, San Diego, and   
   Santa Cruz are wondering what they are going to get out of this to prop up   
   their athletic departments. Probably throw in San Francisco while they're at   
   it - UCSF is a medical    
   school, so it has no interscholastic sports, but I seem to recall the school   
   having issues with the Chase Center (mainly with traffic), which hosted an   
   NCAA men's basketball regional in 2022, so technically it's college sports   
   related.
