|    NCAA strikes again?    |

From: don.p.del.grande@gmail.com              The NCAA has just revised the penalty for an athlete betting on a sport at       their own school, other than their own sport: one-year sit-out, which cannot       be counted as their redshirt year. (The old penalty: loss of all remaining       eligibility.) Apparently,        this is retroactive to May 2.              The strange thing is, there was no mention of changing the existing penalty       for an athlete betting on their own sport (but not in any game where their own       team is playing) at a different school: having to sit through some "gambling       on your own sport is        bad, m'kay?" class and the possibility of having to sit out up to half a       season.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
