   One, it IS all about the quarterback.  Everything eminates from the   
   quarterback in the American ethos.   
      
   Two, as a result:  If all it's going to cost you is 15 yards, an ejection, and   
   a game or two or three, why wouldn't somebody decide deliberate injury to one   
   of these million-dollar quarterbacks (which would end that team's season) is   
   the way to go?
