   Ohio State for being denied the Rose Bowl that one year.

   If you must, add "write a settlement check" to the list.  No, I do not believe   
   that such a situation WOULD actually stop anyone, especially with the   
   criminality of more than a few of the players and the incentives outweighing   
   the penalties.  It would    
   take a major assault charge to do so -- and given some of the fights on the   
   field in recent years, that should happen.   
      
   And if you don't think some dark NIL-ish group wouldn't cover such a payment,   
   you're being silly.
