   On this group, between rants about its titular topic, we often discussed the   
   "green transition" and electric vehicles.   
      
   I was constantly pointing out that the math said that, whatever the   
   desirability of the product and its goals, it was not possible for electric   
   vehicles to succeed due to lack of resources, infrastructure, range, and   
   compatibility.   
      
   Anything of any size that requires subsidies to survive is not viable. And you   
   can't wish technology into existence.   
      
   I declare electic vehicles dead as other than a sideshow. I declare solar   
   power in cloudy places dead. Along with wind power in becalmed places.
