Nothing at all! Actually, that's not true, they've provided
some spectacularly fun evenings. Or so I am told. I don't remember.
Something to do with vast quantities of alkeehole, I believe. I have
seen photographic evidence, though, and it did look like I had a very
good time indeed, up to and including the point where people
(including, perhaps even lead by me) started disrobing... I've also
helped out at a mate's convention shepherding several hundred fans
around a convention hall, all in good humour. So the fans are okay.

Some of the programmes, on the other hand, mostly suck in the nasty,
noisy, down-the-plughole-suckyness kind of way. "Turn your brain off"
doesn't even start to cover most of season 3 of TOS, a lot of the
back-end of TNG, all of Voyager, all of Enterprise and a fair chunk of
DS9. At least half the movies don't just suck, they come with their
   own in-built black holes.

Oh, don't get me wrong. Huge swathes of B5 suck as well. I'm not doing
the blind fanboy thing here!! :-)
