   The reason Sheridan would have made a better Valen is mainly due to   
   Sinclair having all that season 1 baggage that he brought making the   
   part seem bigger than it was and the fact he had to be almost   
   non-existant(minus one scene) until WWE. With Sheridan as Valen and as   
   a recurring guest star, the setup and actual arc of changing from a   
   battle hardened Earth commander to someone actively helping the cause   
   and heading off to start the Rangers and then getting shuffled back in   
   time to become Valen becomes a lot smoother. Instead, Sinclair just   
   vanished and we get told what happened in the interim rather than   
   seeing it.
