XPost: rec.arts.tv, rec.arts.sf.tv, alt.tv.babylon-5       From: forrest@lmcg.wisc.edu              al2048@aol.com writes:              > Even if JMS and John Copeland couldn't take pay cuts because of guild       > rules, JMS and Copeland still could have given the actors some extra       > pay out of JMS's and Copeland's own pockets.       >       > On one episode of "LA Law," Arnie Becker reveals that he gave his       > secretary Roxanne a pay raise out of his own pocket. Are you actually comparing what a fictional       character did on a TV show to what someone might do in real life?              In any case, take the $15,000 JMS got per script and do the math. Tell me       what would be left after taxes, his own personal expenses (agent, publicist,       secretary, etc.), and a reasonable wage for his services, then divide it       among over a dozen cast members, and tell me what they would get.              It's always easy to spend somebody else's money.              --       Dan              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
