   It was my understanding that Delenn was supposed to be male through the   
   end of season one.  The Chrysalis was supposed to change "her" gender   
   to female as well as species.   
      
   Part of why that aspect was dropped was because JMS was unhappy with   
   the voice effect in The Gathering.
