   No, you're wrong.  it's a public newsgroup even though   
   it's moderated.  "ATTN JMS" simply means "Hey JMS,   
   please readi and respond to this".  Many of these posts   
   invite discussion from all participants.  All you have to do   
   is look at all the "ATTN JMS" threads over the years that   
   do just this.   
      
   If you really want to post something so personal that you   
   don't want anybody else's involvement, send him private   
   email.  But iI hope it's important and not frivolous.
