   As opposed to the first couple of seasons of Smallville when the writers   
   would just pull a random "Somebody gets physically and/or mentally changed   
   into X for twenty-four hours; wacky hijinks ensue" piece of :meteor rock out   
   of their butts and buy themselves another week to come up with a real idea?
