   Thank you, Infinity, for the beautiful and thoughtful tribute.  It is   
   reassuring to see that he can still be remembered so vividly.

   He was always a bit of a softy on email too.  On Usenet he seemed so   
   formidable, intelligent, and aces above all the rest of us, that   
   sometimes it was all too easy to forget that he was really a young   
   teenager blooming into manhood, eager to be appreciated, understood   
   and liked by anyone that he respected (though of course he'd never   
   admit that in words, nor needed to).  He was quarrelsome, curious,   
   eager and fond as only the young can be.  And bright, so very bright a   
   candle in the dark...
