   It was for me. To be specific, the 'hilarious' little dance they do to   
   welcome their owners home.   
      
   In amongst all the disco music, fuzzy felt clothing and mechanical   
   spaniels, BG had managed up until then to have a few moments of   
   dignity (Adama's icy 'That Was My Son, Mr President' for example), but   
   this was the moment when I realised that Glen Larson had decided to   
   fast track himself along the Irwin Allen path (I didn't mind Buck   
   Rogers, as this had low aspirations from the start - plus Pamela   
   Hensley).   
      
   I must confess that I've not seen the new series. I've actually been   
   put off it more by the enthusiasts than the detractors. Life's too   
   miserable as it is to want to watch a show that sounds like it's   
   trying outfreeze The Cold Equations every week.
