   Because they have each been run as individual companies and make their   
   own deals. So the people in charge at USA Networks likes the concept   
   and went ahead with the show. I have no idea if the creators   
   approached the SciFi network first or not. It's probably a good deal   
   for the show since I think USA Network still has better coverage than   
   the SciFi channel.
