   He's made two appearances on L&O.  In the first he played a man   
   who'd lost someone in a fire a few years earlier and had never   
   recovered emotionally.  I don't remember the second one he was in,   
   but apparently he played someone who'd suffered a loss in that one   
   too, to go by the IMDb listing:
