   I haven't bothered to dig out my c. 1985 VHS copies to compare, but   
   ISTM that some of the c. 1997 visual effects cleanup (landspeeder blur,   
   slight reddish tint on some spaceship mattes, slightly transparent   
   matte lines for the Battle of Hoth) and overall print restoration work   
   are part of the "original version" DVDs.   
      
   However, none of the overt 'enhancements' (Mos Eisley, Cloud City) or   
   additional scenes are part of the product, and Greedo does *not* get   
   off a shot.
