   You've got that backwards. Stallone and the rest of Hollyweird jumped   
   onto their current "revive the past" bandwagon mainly because George   
   Lucas started work on his Prequel Trilogy. There's piles of mostly   
   garbage released as "remakes" / "updates" on old shows and movies, but   
   thankfully this fad is slowly coming to an ended "updates" are being   
   dropped.   
      
   Star Wars is not dead, but there will NOT be any more movies in the   
   "Star Wars Saga" - it's six movies and that's the end of Anakin   
   Skywalker's story. There are already two TV shows in the works (one   
   computer animated and one live-action) and there may be more of these   
   too. There may or may not be more movies set in the Star Wars universe   
   that are not part of the Saga, in a similar way to the Ewok spin-offs.
