   IMO nothing has come remotely close. I know some of us like to make fun of   
   George Lucas, but he created something unique, surprising, and lasting.   
      
   In terms of fantasy films, the LOTR trilogy was extremely well done, and I   
   was thrilled while watching them.  But I never longed to go live in MIddle   
   Earth, whereas I often wanted to hang out in the bar on Tatooine or stand   
   (preferably with Anakin, hee hee) by the lake on Naboo.
