   It's no different to the Prequel Trilogy or some of the novels that   
   were released to fill in the gaps. Yes, we know that they survive, but   
   the point of the TV show is for these stories will add to their history   
   and explain more of the character and the decisions they make in the   
   movies. Some people like to know the "hows" and "whys", while others   
   aren't interested.
