"A bit of entertainment" doesn't mean going to see any old drivel of a
movie simply because you're too stupid to think of anything else to do. It
certainly doesn't mean going to see a movie called "Star Trek" when you
don't like "Star Trek". The majority of the general are simply dumbasses,
and that's who Hollyweird aim movies at. :-\

What a load of bollocks. They simply make a movie they believe will make
lots of money. Sometimes it doesn't, more and more often if it's an
over-hyped "blockbuster" it will, thanks to the bumbass brigade
artifically boosting box office numbers and the moron in studio management
blindly belieing those numbers mean people actually like the movie.

   > That Star Trek flick has to appeal not only to fans in...

No movie is ever made for the fans, and certainly not an idiotic "reboot"
movie. They're called fans because they like how it is. Making idiotic,
ill-fitting changes so that it's a very different product is NOT the way
   to "appeal" to fans.
