From: mr@sandman.net              Just saw it last night!              Very good throughout, very solid "Star Wars" feeling, amazing set design that       makes it feel as the logical continuation of the original trilogy.              The story is simple and straightforward, sprinkled with more than a few direct       connections to ANH and RotJ.              CGI is sparingly used. Well, it's used a LOT, of course, but if there is a       practical way to do a special effect, it's usually done practically. There were       a few instances where something was needlessly over-CGI, but there is more       needless CGI in the first five minutes of TPM than you find in the entire TFA.              As for the returning actors, all I can say is that Harrison Ford pulls it off       effortlessly, while Carrie Fisher... not so much.              I was afraid to have expectations, but if I secretly had high hopes, it was       adequately met. There are things to comment on, a few small details that       bothered me, but more on that in a spoiler heavy post.              --       Sandman              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
