   There was a short series of books called "Star Wars: Wild Space" which   
   also had two kids having adventures on their own as they searched for   
   their parents who had been taken by Imperial troops.   
      
   Then there is also the animated series "Star Wars: Young Jedi   
   Adventures" which has a group of kids going on adventures by themselves   
   (sometimes with Yoda or his instructions).
