373f4647       From: removeantispam*pkuo@earthlink.net              not much manga for me, pretty much spend most of my time on Harry Potter.              read              Twin Spica #3-4              remember we are talking about the art on this one? in the end of book       #3, Yaginuma did mention that he is not good at drawing character faces       but excell at everyday objects, the art does give you a warm and fuzzy       feeling like YKK, (soft and gentle.) but IMO his characters set up are       even better than his background drawing, because it has a story w/       "focus" and you tend to get involved more, instead of just being an       observor for YKK,              I don't know if the short stories in the back of each volume are real       story of the author or not, if it is then it is really sad and       melancholy, or he just has the heart and the sensitivity of a teenage       girl. :) for some reason it just remind me of Shinobu in UY movie #4       ^^;              should crack my top ten by the end of the year...              Detective School Q #19              the end is almost here, (or for the magazine serial, already finished.       probably in #21, 22?) so they pretty much start fullfilling each of the       foreshadowing and explain the background history, and in reality, a       better story structure than K1 case book because of the story "focus" on       one central theme w/ one central antagonist (organization) which bind it       together, and because it did not drag on endlessly like Conan, (#50 and       counting! that is a title I probably will drop and will only go back to       read the ending, hope I am still alive by then :)              Negima #10              the chapters which feature Yue, Setsuna, and the kissing Negi are       especially good. Yue is becoming my favor one in the supporting       characters.              browse              Fruits Basket #17              I already read most of the internet spoiler about this one, so I wasn't       surprised or anything, (pretty much make the anime obsoleted?) the only       observation I can say, is the further the story progress, the more       disappointed I am getting, not to mention the change of character       design made it quite ugly in comparsion to the earlier volumes, the       stock of this one IMO is dropping rather rapidly, which increase my       beliefs that not too many long shoujo are good shoujo, they simply don't       know how to do dragging arc as well as shonen do.              I probably will drop this one and stop reading it, it is not like I       can't guess the end, or more importantly, care about those characters,              Tenjoh Tenge #13, Air Gear #10              art is very nice, but the story is really.... well, what story?       bascially, you just got a skeleton hidden behind the nice looking       clothes (artworks) w/o any body on it, they don't make sense and have       holes the size of moon craters,              did I mention the art is nice? ^^;              School Rumble #8-9              no comments. :)              Monaco no Sorae #21              the end of the "big fight", which last 2 volumes, and some bookkeeping       in the end, book #22, which is already out, is the end of "part 1", but       w/o a resolution to the romance, so this one has 40+ volume writting all       over it just like Nozomi Witch.              Suzuka #3              again, none of the story devices are anything new, but the art work are       consistent and nice, but more importantly, the characters are consistent       and nice, (no flakes.) I might start to semi follow this one like Pastel       and Kagetora.              Katsu! #15              in typical Adachi fashion, there has to be some final twists and turns       right before the end, rather forced I might added, because never once do       I believe the romance is not going to last just like near the end in       Touch, which is why while Touch is a better story, H2 is more       suspenseful, what I heard on Adachi's latest Cross Game also mean that       he is reusing another one of his "infamous" old story device, again, got       to give him credit, he can get away with it,              PS, OT, Harry Potter and the HBP              I think the extremely painful to read #5 made this one much easier to       swallo.. er, follow, the shorter page counts and more compact storyline       make the "flow" much better, but then, just about anything is better       than #5, and really, #6 is incomplete because it is just half a story to       setup #7, so if #7 did not deliever, (or at least, deliever what I       expect it to deliver.) then I will be very disappointed on both 6 and 7.              but for now, for me, best volume is still #3, then 4, 6, 1, 2, 5. in       that order.              most favor male, Lupin, female Luna, best character Snape, (only       character with any depth and complexity at all.)              fearless prediction for #7              Uneel naq Tvaal, Eba naq Urezvbar, Arivyyr naq Yhan, rgp, cerggl zhpu       tvivat.       Uneel jvyy yvir, orpnhfr uvf tveysevaq vf Tvaal jub arrqf uvf erghea,       abg Yhan jub haqrefgnaq qrngu nf V unir ubcr.       Uneel, QNQN grnpure.       Eba, xrrcre sbe uvf snibe ceb grnz.       Urezvbar, Rys npgvivgvfg.       Crggvterj jvyy qvr gb gur nqinagntr bs gur tbbq fvqr gb shyysvyy bar bs       gur sberfunqbjvat.       Qenpb jvyy yvir orpnhfr ur jnf nyernql fnirq ol Qhzoyrqber naq Fancr.       Fancr jvyy qvr orpnhfr ur vf n TBBQ THL, naq ur jvyy qvr gb fnir Uneel.       (Qnegu Inqre nalbar?)              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
