   this volume wrap up the last story from #14, and started two semi   
   connected new stories, and those 2 stories are pretty much rehashed old   
   plotlines from the original City Hunter series, one is with a TV   
   personality (been there) who wanted to make Ryo a regular   
   person/boyfriend, the other one is an old merc. friend from Ryo's past   
   showed up w/ a hidding agenda instead, (done that.) the main difference,   
   of course, is over 10 years of maturity by Hojo, the 21st century update   
   make it a much more smooth delievery compare to the old CH, (and very   
   little actions/violence.) but still of all the 15+ volumes so far, this   
   is the closest to the middle of the original series in term of look and   
   feel.  (more humor, less cosiness.)   
      
   a couple of notes, one, Hojo is probably the second famous mangaka who   
   gets inspirations from the recent SARS virus and work it into his   
   storyline, (the first one being Urasawa.)  the other is from the bits   
   and pieces of how each woman will come to like Ryo but eventually   
   leaving, it would be very hard to not make the final ending a Ryo and   
   Xianing pairing.  at least it would take a very dramatic events (read,   
   main characters dying, since Ryo is old and Xianing is unstable.) for   
   this not to happen, may be Ryo dying and give Xianing his heart, then   
   she can be with Shin Hong, or Xianing dying from her heart and allow Ryo   
   and Saeko together, etc.  in any case the final story arc is almost   
   definitely have to do with the condition of Xianing's heart, consider   
   all the foreshadows laced through out the series so far.
