   for the first time in years I bought a SM just to check out this   
   chapter.  a popular title in Japan that is very seldom mentions, or I   
   supposed, "like" by the western readers, the author is returning to do   
   K1's case files, and in a way, I should miss this one more.   
      
   The ending is not the "I want to be different and there will be odd   
   happending" kind, instead, we have a good old fashion, by the book   
   ending for this one, well done, too.  every angle that is supposed to be   
   covered, did, and most of them have foreshadows from the beginning of   
   the series and finally being taking care of, (for example, Q chan   
   finally got a name.)  some of the happening is a bit melodramatic, and   
   IMO, not necessary, but it is not like I can not see it coming, I know   
   it will happen, and the authors deliever what they advertised.  a very   
   solid work all around, and even more impressive, a story that is very   
   well strucutured from the beginning, and when the story progress   
   throught all the predetermine happening, the authors just go ahead and   
   end it, no dragging what so ever, with revelations every now and then to   
   keep us aware and interest in the main story line, that means it does   
   not need to rush the ending.  so unlike a typical successful long   
   running manga series, the pace of this one is tight and not loose at all   
   in the middle, even though most of the time they are made up of   
   independent smaller stories.   
      
   last volume, #22, will be released by October.
