   no no no, if Luna became Harry's girl friend, then it increase   
   dramaticly the chance of Harry being dead in the end, because of his and   
   her connection and understanding of death, (from the end of book #5,   
   etc.)  and this will open the possibility of Harry being one of the   
   horcrux, to kill the enemy, you have to kill yourself, etc.  now, should   
   Harry kill himself, or should Harry give in to the power of the darkside   
   and become more powerful instead?  the Darth Vader argument again.   
      
   that, to me, is much more intersting than Harry think of something to   
   save Ginny from being a hostage, you know that is going to happen again.

   it is quite sudden, because Rowling did not do any "pre-works" in the   
   previous 5 books, Harry just all of a sudden realize he likes Ginny   
   after knowing her for 4 years?  it is almost like a love potion was used   
   on him, we will have to wait for the last book for Rowling to come clean   
   I guess, (did Ginny did well in her potion class and won the love potion   
   as award?  why Harry suddenly smell the same love potion fragrant the   
   first time he met Ginny after that potion class?)
