|    PC - Graphics Tablets    |

From: nospam@uq.edu.au              First off: it has been about 15 years since I last drew anything and have       been mucking around with computers ever since, so I am figuring the best way       to get myself back into drawing is to get a graphics tablet so I can draw on       the computer.              But, drawing on the computer via mouse is exceedingly unnatural and goofy       feeling so I am looking at Graphics Tablets.              Mainly because it's the only name I have really heard about in tablets, I am       looking at the Wacom range, and the one that caught my eye was the Intuos3       A4 sized. The price made me poop momentarily but if that is the price to be       paid for enabling something I could not otherwise do on a computer then so       be it.              If anyone has had any experiences, good or bad, with graphics tablets,       especially Wacom ones then could you please share your experiences? Even       basic things like: "how close do they get to the "feel" of drawing with       pencil and paper?"              I am looking at the A4 sized one despite the cost as I can't see how you       could properly express the same strokes on a small A5 or especially an A6       area. But, one thing occurred to me: could the small tablets actually make       it easier to draw as you are not going to be approaching the stroke limits       of the mechanics of your arm so quickly?              I would imagine the small size tablets would have greater "shakes" issues       and make fine work more difficult but make large strokes easier. That's how       I imagine it though - how does this transpose into reality (if at all)?              Thanks in advance for your input.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
