   Farce is not some fancy intellectual French word, it is still in regular use   
   around the world in English speaking countries. No idea about America   
   though - they use their own "simplified" english, although English has   
   already being bastardised so many times I fail to see how another round of   
   bastardisation helps matters at all.

   The word itself has long history in both English and French as it had a   
   common root in Latin.
