XPost: rec.arts.anime.misc       From: thisis@fake.ihope              I'm cross-posting this, since rec.arts.manga is the most obvious       choice, but anime.misc will probably get more replies...              At a comic convention the other day, I picked up the first Dark Horse       volume of Yuzo Takada's 3x3 Eyes. The titled led me to believe there       would be at least 6 eyes, and possibly as many as 9, but it's actually       just about characters who have 3 eyes. There is more than 1, so there       are 3 characters with 3 eyes, but there are also more than 3       characters with 3 eyes...              I thought I might like this, but I haven't decided yet. I liked All       Purpose Cultural Catgirl Nuku Nuku, and this isn't bad, but it's       strange, and I'm not sure yet whether I feel like reading more or       not...              It's oriented left-to-right; has this been flipped or have the panels       been individually cut and pasted?              And why is it called 3x3 Eyes, instead of just 3 Eyes, or 3x3x3 Eyes,       or 3x3x3x3 Eyes?              (It has this quote on the back cover:       "...some koo-koo adventures, Jack!"       -Rob Zombie)       --       Email: aevernon at bellsouth dot net              "It's nearby!"       "Where?"       "I found it! That pink alligator!"       "All right! Special bonus!"              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
