From: nospam@uq.edu.au              > P.S. Being a newbie, I was wondering why, if they bother to translate the       > mangas to English, why they don't reverse the pages also?              It is not just a simple case of mirror flipping the pages - Japanese Manga       flows differently in more ways than simply right to left VS left to right.       At least if it is unflipped you know to follow the Japanese Manga reading       flow which you get used to very very quickly.              Flipped titles would have me scratching my head wondering whether it has       been completely relaid out and is meant to be readable like a strict western       comic flow or whether it is just a mirror flip of the Japanese flow. If it       is completely relaid out then it would entail major graphical alteration       (which I and many other fans do not want to see) as Manga is not strict in       keeping action within discreet panes.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
