I just started reading my first manga ("Cromartie H.S.") and noticed that,
obviously, the form has been influenced by traditional comic books and
animated and live-action film/TV techniques, and I began to wonder: What are
some Anime and Manga storytelling and graphic/technical techniques that have
shown up in films? Are there some good web sites or print sources that deal
with this? I've always been interested in how different media affect each
other, and especially how techniques become internalized to the point where
the practitioners don't even know where the influence has come from. For
example, there are probably many film directors working today who know
nothing about the rule of thirds or the development of the close-up. Anyway,
   thanks for your help.
