   think of him as Japan's version of David Beckham,  he was referenced   
   once in Azumanga Daioh.  in the anime version when Tomo pulls her   
   sleeve she is imitating one of his pattern pose.  and it would not be   
   an overstatement that 9 out 10 Japanese knew what that movement means.
