Nothing per se... *cough* ... I would much rather spend my time around a so
called "subservient" Japanese girl anytime. Though anyone who really thinks
they are subservient really needs to meet a few more. Asian girls in general
just realise more flies can be caught with honey than vinegar and they are
just being pleasant/harmonious. This should not be read as any form of
   weakness.

I have gone out with girls from Japan, Taiwan, Thailand and Hong Kong and
they actually were all very controlling. They just don't try to beat their
partners into submission by out-testosteroning them and ripping their nuts
off, they use femenine means. The end results though is usually much more
effective so 'subservient' so perhaps western women would do better to learn
from them rather than the other way around.

I have a great deal of respect for traditional Japanese due to their sense
of "wa" or harmony. Manners and ettiquite is very important as is "keeping
the peace". I am not sure how much of this still holds sway in Japan itself
these days but this sort of thing is viewed as weakness in western society
and people always seem to be overly assertive/aggressive/loud, ie:
"disturbing the peace". That was even the case before our societies become
"pulp fictionalised" and it become cool to be obnoxious.

I can't even walk down the street in my own society (Australia) without loud
unpleasant people grating my mind - they are like finger nails raking down a
chalk board. Sometimes I really think that westerners (and I am one) are
just too thick to realise it takes more strength, effort and resolve to be
polite, harmonious and pleasant than to just hawk out the first thing that
comes to mind all the time.
